Sources, rumors. Rumors, sources. Everybody’s got ‘em, everybody hears ‘em.
Back on February 2nd, Clay Travis of Fanhouse.com reported that “The NCAA will cite the University of Tennessee’s football program with a failure to monitor a violation stemming from the short tenure of former head coach Lane Kiffin.”
A failure to monitor charge can be pretty serious. Natch, Vol fans fretted when they read Travis’ report.
But now ESPN.com’s Bruce Feldman is tweeting a different tune:
“Hearing that Vols football are not expected to get hit with dreaded failure to monitor.”
Vol fans are now on Team Feldman. The rest of the SEC is no doubt backing Team Travis.
What would Bella Swan do?
UPDATE — Travis has now tweeted the following regarding Feldman’s post:
“If true, NCAA buckled at last possible moment.”
