SEC Headlines – 12/15/10 Part Two

1.  Will Muschamp expects to win now saying, “We’re not on a five-year plan here.”

2.  Ray Goff has nothing but praise for his former co-captain at Georgia.

3.  Muschamp can be defined by the word “passion.”

If that’s the case then I hope he dresses and dances like this on the sideline:

For what it’s worth, I hear Rod Stewart was taken to the hospi… nevermind.

4.  Georgia linebacker Marcus Dowtin feels he “can be a very dominant player in the 3-4″ of Todd Grantham.

5.  No surprise, AJ Green was voted UGA’s MVP for 2010.

6.  Rick Pitino says Kentucky has raised the bar in the UK-Louisville basketball series.

7.  According to ESPN’s “Insider” pay information, “several NBA sources with ties to the Kentucky program” say UK “feels good about it chances” in the Enes Kanter case.  (One UK insider told me that he’s not sure about UK’s chances on the Kanter front.)

8.  Tennessee is starting bowl preps with three man missing from its secondary… including safety Janzen Jackson who is away dealing with “some very, very personal and family issues.”

9.  North Carolina will be without two starters against the Vols in the Music City Bowl.

10.  The folks at a Vandy website are trying to talk themselves into liking the idea of hiring James Franklin…

11.  But it doesn’t sound like Franklin’s departure will be mourned in Maryland.
