Report: Pannunzio Hired At Bama For Off-Field Role

On Friday, reports out of Alabama listed former Miami Hurricanes’ special teams coordinator and tight ends coach Joe Pannunzio as a possible candidate for a role in the UA football offices.  Mike Vollmar left Bama’s job of associate athletics director for football in January and Pannunzio was believed to be a candidate to replace him.

This morning, FootballScoop.com reports that Saban has indeed hired Pannunzio for “an off-the-field role.”

From the looks of him, Pannunzio might serve as Saban’s “Clemenza,” hiding pistols behind toilets whenever necessary.

Leave the gun.  Take the cannoli.
