Three Schools ‘Even’ In Race For Nkemdiche

Ole Miss is no longer the leader, at least publicly, for defensive end Robert Nkemdiche from Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga.

The nation’s No. 1 prospect told ESPN RecruitingNation Sunday night following an official visit to Florida that Florida, LSU and Ole Miss are “even” on his list of schools.

“No school has been kicked down or anything, but I just have to see the other schools and compare them,” Nkemdiche told ESPN. “Florida, Ole Miss and LSU are battling for that top spot.”

Florida already has the nation’s top-ranked class for 2013, according to ESPN. Landing Nkemdiche could secure the top class in the country for the Gators.

He’s heard a similar message from some of Florida’s commitments.

“I met a lot of them during practice for the Under Armour All-American Game, and they all told me good players like to play with other good players, which is true,” Nkemdiche said. “They were just letting me know we could do great things together at Florida and continue that tradition in Gainesville. I think I could make a big impact at Florida and really help this incoming class a lot.”

Nkemdiche, who will likely announce his decision on Feb. 6, is scheduled to take an official visit to Ole Miss this upcoming weekend. He has yet to schedule a visit to LSU.
