Texas A&M’s Commitment List Grows

Texas A&M’s commitment list doubled from six to 12 during the weekend.

The Aggies added commitments from six players during their junior day weekend: offensive lineman Jose Aguilas and Ishmael Wilson, safeties Victor Davis and Jonathan Wiggins and running backs Johnny Jefferson and James White.

Wiggins was the sixth player to commit to Texas A&M this weekend. He told 247Sports he decided to commit while the Aggies still had room in their class of 2013.

“They didn’t (give a deadline to decide), but I know that,” Wiggins said. “I’m not the only good player in Texas. You never know when someone else might take that spot.”

Texas is usually the first BCS program in the Lonestar State to hit double-digit commits before the end of February. But the Longhorns have “only” five commitments for the class of 2013.

Texas hasn’t offered a scholarship to any of the 12 commitments for Texas A&M’s class of 2013.
