Pendry Will Retire At Bama

The Tuscaloosa News has confirmed reports that Alabama offensive line coach Joe Pendry plans to retire.  The 63-year-old Pendry has served as UA’s O-line coach since Nick Saban arrived in 2007.

As we noted earlier today, numerous Florida papers are reporting that Miami offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland has already spoken with Saban about the job.  The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel reports that he was in Tuscaloosa yesterday.

(Every time I hear the name Joe Pendry, I think of him lying there on the floor, face half eaten off by Hannibal Lecter.  And then I remember that that was actually “Jim Pembry… now talk to him damnit!”)
