1. Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron finishes second in the Heisman Trophy voting behind Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston. ”It’s awesome, just a dream come true.” Breakdown of the vote.

2. Auburn’s Tre Mason finished sixth in the voting.

3. Jameis Winston thanks Auburn receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator Dameyune Craig for helping recruit him to Florida State.

4. What will Johnny Manziel’s legacy be at Texas A&M?  ”Manziel will be remembered as the player that brought Texas A&M football back into the spotlight and gave the program a national identity.”

5. So will Johnny Football jump to the NFL? He’s not tipping his hand. “I don’t really see any problems in my life right now.”

6. Back to the practice field Monday for Auburn as Tigers begin prep for BCS National Championship Game.

7. Mississippi State has already had two bowl practices.  Quarterback Dak Prescott says he’s feeling good.

8. What Barry Switzer told Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops about playing Alabama: “You had the worst draw of everybody for bowl games.”

9. One of the keys to turning around Missouri this year?  Offensive coordinator Josh Henson. Helped “meld the Tigers’ spread offense with a few power ideas helpful for competing in the SEC.”

10. Georgia tight end Jay Rome won’t play in the bowl game.  Been bothered with a foot injury. Bulldogs worked out Saturday in a steady downpour.

11. Defensive lineman Za’Darius Smith will return for his senior season at Kentucky.  Wide receiver Daryl Collins will transfer.

13. South Carolina is about 1,000 tickets ahead of its 2012 pace in selling bowl game tickets.

14. McDonad’s All-American Chris Walker has been cleared to begin practicing immediately with the Florida Gators.

15. What to make of Kentucky’s season thus far?  ”Impossible to ignore the fact that this Wildcats team has played three games against very good teams this season, and it has lost all three.”

16. Marshall Henderson scores 15 point in the Ole Miss victory over Middle Tennessee including a shot that bounced off two defenders.

17, As undefeated Missouri goes up against Western Michigan tonight, junior guard Jabari Brown has stepped up his game. Is this Mizzou team more mature than last year’s version?
