Ah, another loudmouth. And no, there’s nothing wrong with confidence. Confidence is good. Cockiness bordering on stupidity, well, that’s bad. And when you just gave up 56 points to Georgia and now you’re heading to Alabama, claiming the Tide can be had is cockiness bordering on stupidity.
According to The Palm Beach Post, earlier this week Florida Atlantic defensive end Cory Henry said the following regarding Alabama, who the Owls play tomorrow in Tuscaloosa:
“They ain’t what people think. They’re good and everything but they can be beat, too. They just execute well. They just execute and beat you…
We got speed against them. You got speed, you can win.”
All that famed Owl speed didn’t help much last week at Sanford Stadium. Georgia rolled up 713 yards — yes, 713 — and whipped FAU 56-20. Henry is apparently pretty good at letting go of bad memories.
Now, to be fair, he is correct that Alabama can be beaten. All teams can be beaten. But Bama won’t be beaten by Florida Atlantic.
