Did Will Muschamp buy a house on an old Native American burial ground?
If anyone in the SEC has the right to sing “Born Under A Bad Sign” these days it’s Florida’s coach. His team already decimated by injuries, losers of three games in a row including to rival Georgia, Muschamp will now have to replace yet another starter.
According to John Cotey of The Tampa Bay Times, offensive tackle Tyler Moore will miss the rest of the season due to a broken arm and a scooter accident:
Moore entered the Gators’ starting lineup due to an injury to Chaz Green before the season started. With him out, Florida has just two healthy scholarship offensive tackles to use during the season’s final month. Players will be shifted from other positions on the line, of course, but the sheer number of Gators out for the year is astounding. By our count nine Florida players have been shelved already.
Florida fans aren’t happy with the job Muschamp has done. A 4-4 record won’t cut it in Gainesville. But it’s hard to imagine many coaches having success with a roster that’s been as sliced and diced as Muschamp’s.
Vanderbilt visits the Swamp on Saturday in what could now be a real battle.
