Lineman Dunker Chooses Florida

Offensive lineman Jessamen Dunker has committed to Florida’s class of 2012.

Dunker took recent trips to Florida, Auburn and Georgia during his spring break, and the Gators always seemed to have the advantage.

“I did a lot of thinking about it and every time I started thinking about my top five,” Dunker said, “I kept comparing them to Florida and they really didn’t match up with what I needed and what I wanted and the bond I have at Florida with the coaches and the team.

Dunker, who attends Boynton Beach (Fla.) High School, is a major pick up for Florida. He also holds scholarship offers from such schools as Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Miami and Florida State, which has made a strong push with its in-state recruiting.

Dunker told the Gainesville Sun he will likely visit other schools this summer, but he said his commitment to Florida is firm.

“I just think it’s home when I think about Florida,” Dunker said. “That’s the place I feel comfortable the most at.”
