Nichols Had A ‘Great Visit’ To Tennessee

Tennessee’s basketball staff has received a nice review from its weekend hosting forward Austin Nichols of Briarcrest High School in Eads, Tenn.

Mark Nichols, Austin’s father, told the Knoxville News Sentinel that Tennessee’s staff made a strong effort to impress the top target remaining on its board for the 2013 class.

“It was a great visit, man,” Mark Nichols said. “Tennessee did a great job. The basketball staff just did a wonderful job. It was awesome. They didn’t miss any opportunities to impress us.”

Auburn will have its chance to impress Austin Nichols when he visits the school next weekend. He’s also considering Vanderbilt, Duke, Memphis and Virginia.

Nichols is ranked the nation’s No. 11 overall prospect for the class of 2013 by ESPN.
