Not much news from Nashville today, where the Commodores now sit at 6-6 following disappointing losses to Tennessee and Wake Forest:

“All we’re thinking about now is winning the bowl game,” said defensive end Steven Stone.  “The past few games have been disappointing, but they’re over.  We’ve got to move on to the next one.”  This will be just the fourth bowl game in Vandy’s history. 

Rather than being down about their finish, Bobby Johnson wants his team to realize what they’ve accomplished so far.  “You just look through the record book and see how this team stands up to Vanderbilt teams since about 1955.”
