Wanted to share three more perspectives on Gene Chizik’s hiring with you.  And here they are:



Former Central Florida coach Mike Kruczek knows that his old friend Chizik will have a hard time overcoming his 5-19 record at Iowa State.

“I think it’s going to be difficult for him, but he understands what it takes to win, and at Iowa State, he’s already had to fight through adversity and prepare a team regardless of what others thought of him.  He’s already been through the tough part as a head coach.  Five and 19 in most parts is unacceptable.”  Ya think?



Randy Kennedy of The Mobile Press-Register also believes that Chizik’s biggest challenge will be winning over a fanbase that is united in believing he’s the wrong guy for the job.



And the always entertaining Ray Melick of The Birmingham News reports that Auburn’s season ticket renewal forms were mailed last week and are arriving in boosters’ hands just as Chizik is being introduced as the new coach.  Not only are fans not impressed with his work at ISU, some were angry with him for leaving Auburn’s defensive coordinator job for Texas’ defensive coordinator job after 2004.
