Ole Miss Headlines – 11/3/09

1.  Houston Nutt will earn his money down the stretch run as he tries to guide his team up the bowl ladder.  (Ole Miss still has conference games with Tennessee, LSU and Mississippi State remaining.)

2.  Jevan Snead has thrown as many interceptions as any quarterback in the nation — 13.

3.  According to this lengthy notes blog, Nutt sent in video of four officiating calls to the SEC office.  Wisely, he didn’t get into specifics.

4.  Northern Arizona is quarterbacked by former Rebel Michael Herrick.

5.  Since Ole Miss football fans won’t stop chanting “the South will rise again” at the end of “From Dixie With Love,” UM’s chancellor says he might dump the song from Mississippi’s football lineup altogether.

Do the folks chanting those words really hope that the South returns to the days of the 1860s or are they simply yahoos who don’t like to be told to stop doing something?

“Stop eating those peas!”  “Why, I’ll show you!”  Gobble, gobble, gobble.

Ridiculous.
