It doesn’t seem that Auburn’s new offensive coordinator Tony Franklin is fond of the Summer months.
First, he’s not able to deliver hands-on teaching to his quarterbacks during this time. And Chris Todd and Kodi Burns need all the teaching they can get to get up to speed to Franklin’s new spread offense.
Second, the unsupervised, involuntary workouts that players go through in the Summer could have just as many bad effects (poor techniques, bad habits) as good ones.
“Sometimes you wonder if they go out and do things wrong and get worse.”

And our own Jimmy Hyams has more on Franklin’s first year on the Plains on his Ace Reporter page.
