Southern Cal’s offense was at its best when it had Reggie Bush and LenDale White in the backfield together.
Bush provided the quickness, and White provided the power.
Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin is looking for the next LenDale White in this 2009 class.
The first candidate for that role is running back Toney Williams, who’s committed to UT.
Williams told me he’s “95 (percent) sure” he will sign with the Vols. Williams will make a final decision after he visits Kentucky this weekend.
Kiffin is trying to sway Dominique Allen’s commitment from LSU to UT. Allen, who originally committed to the Vols, said he was impressed with Kiffin’s sales pitch.
Allen will soon decide if he wants to visit UT.
