Oh, no. No. Please. Not that.
Yep, after their 24th consecutive loss to Tennessee on Saturday night, it looks like Kentucky might be heading to their third straight Music City Bowl in Nashville. Nothing against Nashville which is a fun city, but Cat fans have to be wanting something else.
Let’s see, UK has never played in the Liberty Bowl. LSU has never played in the Music City Bowl. Seems to me it would make sense for these schools to go to first-time destinations. At 7-5, LSU would face an ACC foe in Nashville, while at 6-6, Kentucky would play the Conference USA champ in Memphis.
At any rate, in losing to 5-7 Tennessee, the Cats probably booted an invitation to the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta.
(And, yes, I realize the I-65 sign from Lexington to Nashville would be I-65 South, but you try finding a I-65 sign that says “Nashville” and “South” on it. I’m slaving over a hot laptop, people. Come on.)
