The first family of SEC football continue to playfully poke fun at one another… just showing once again why their down home, aw shucks personalities have been embraced by Ole Miss and Tennessee fans alike.
At a recent luncheon, Eli told the crowd that he’d have had more luck in “the Manning Bowl” a couple of seasons ago had older brother Peyton lined up for the Colts’ defense.
He also said that he didn’t want to follow in his brother’s footsteps at Tennessee. So why did he choose to follow his dad’s legendary shadow to Ole Miss?
“I saw his stats and they really weren’t impressive. He threw a lot of interceptions.”
Oh, those Mannings. It’s like they stepped right out of a 1950’s family sitcom.
