Florida Lands Two Commitments During U.S. Army Game

Linebacker Jon Bostic was the first player to commit to Florida during Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl.


Bostic, from Wellington, Fla., chose the Gators over LSU and Florida State.


Florida’s second pledge came from offensive lineman Xavier Nixon from Jack Britt High School in Fayetteville, N.C. Nixon chose the Gators over North Carolina, N.C. State and Miami.


Other prospects to make their announcement during the All-American Bowl:


Defensive tackle William Campbell chose in-state Michigan over Alabama, Florida, LSU and Miami.


Cornerback Michael Carter from Pompano Beach, Fla., chose West Virginia over Florida, Georgia, Miami and Minnesota.
