Here are the top stories from the Sunshine State today:

Percy Harvin has now gone two consecutive years averaging more than 11 yards per touch.  Reggie Bush never did that. 

Linebacker Brandon Spikes sounds like a really good kid.  He says he “likes to be violent,” we presume on the football field.  And he added this nugget, too: “You want to put a guy out and let the ambulance come and get him off the field.”  Uh-huh.  Wouldn’t it be something for Mr. Spikes to be carted off the field after someone laid his ass out?  Won’t happen against The Citadel, of course.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Tim Tebow has won The Disney Spirit Award as college football’s most inspirational figure.

Offensive lineman Jim Tartt might start tomorrow in his final game at The Swamp.  Carl Johnson is still recovering from an MCL sprain.

Defensive coordinator Charlie Strong is pushing all the right buttons according to Urban Meyer.  “He’s one of my close friends, but he’s also one of the best coordinators in the country.  It’s not about the scheme, it’s more about getting guys ready to play. … That’s his strength, developing players.”
