Quarterback Tajh Boyd is no longer committed to Tennessee, according to Rivals.com.
Boyd, from Phoebus High School in Hampton, Va., was committed to UT until Lane Kiffin became the Vols’ head coach.
According to Rivals.com, Kiffin told Boyd that UT would not honor his scholarship offer. That seems unlikely, however, as athletic director Mike Hamilton had expressed the Vols would honor every commitment’s offer.
It’s more likely that Kiffin told Boyd that UT would honor the offer but that Boyd wouldn’t be a good fit for the Vols’ new offense.
