Here’s the news — aside from arrests — that’s coming out of Fayetteville this morning:

Quarterback Ryan Mallet broke the ring finger on his throwing hand and is expected to miss some individual workouts this summer.  His mother says he broke the finger while lifting weights.  It’s the second time he’s suffered a break on his throwing hand.  Last year he broke his thumb during spring practice.

This writer says that when Patrick Beverly was booted for turning in someone else’s classwork, the university did a solid job… of covering the story up.

Interestingly, the chancellor at UA says the athletic department will be checking into Beverly’s claims.  But didn’t Arkansas already say that they have investigated the matter thoroughly, which is why Beverly was shown the door?

Hmmm.
