John Pelphrey wants to bring a regular season invitational tournament to Fayetteville this Christmas season.

Maui, Anchorage, San Juan… Fayetteville.

Okay.

There was a time when nearly every school in the country hosted invitational tourneys, but that trend died out in the early 1990s.
