OUR TAKE: Not a surprise. Mock drafts had Randoph in the 10 to 15 range and that’s exactly where he fell. It’s a shame SEC fans only got to see him play for a year.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune believes Randolph was snagged by the perfect team for his skill set. Don Nelson’s Warriors were the highest-scoring team in the league last year, and that should be a good fit for the quick big man.
The Baton Rouge Advocate reports that the biggest question Randolph faced before (and after) the draft was about his strength… a question the former Tiger handled expertly: “If you watch any of my games, I guarded the biggest, strongest player on every team. I held my own with each and every one of them.”
