Here's what's making news in Music City, USA today:

The key to Vanderbilt's success in 2008 has been it's defense.  Four times this season Vandy has given up less than 250 yards in a game. 

Yeah, but this weekend they have to face Tennessee and quarterback Jonathan Crompton, who coaches feel is the answer to offensive coordinator Dave Clawson's question: "What is the best way to win the football game?"  Vandy's D plus Crompton and UT's struggles... barring a complete Vol turnaround, this could be game #5 in which Vandy allows less than 250 yards.

This notes column reveals that Vanderbilt has entered a partnership with a sports travel company that will allow Commodore fans to get a quick jump on holiday plans, once Vandy's bowl bid becomes a reality.
