MSU FOOTBALL NEWS - 10/6/08
Fresh off a bye week, Mississippi State is looking for improved offensive play behind new starting quarterback Tyson Lee. Lee will make his first start at home against 13th ranked Vandy on Saturday. And don't think for a second that this won't be a close, close football game.
After a slow start, State's special teams units are starting to find their groove. At least according to punter Blake McAdams. "I think we've started to prove we can do a really good job. The cover guys have done a great job of getting down field, and there have been more fair catches off my punts this year than I've ever had."
And finally (this is posted in the Ole Miss notes, too), ESPN's "College GameDay" has now been to 10 of the SEC's 12 cities. Only Oxford and Starkville remain on the network's to-do list.
