WHICH TEAMS ARE GETTING TOO MUCH LOVE? NOT ENOUGH?

Summertime is hype time when it comes to college football.

And the way Pat Dooley of The Gainesville Sun sees it, Georgia and Florida are getting a little too much hype as we head toward Fall.

On the Bulldogs:  "Georgia will be very good, no doubt, but a lot of the pre-season hype is based on finally beating Florida, hammering Auburn and beating a mediocre Hawaii team."  (He could have added, "beating Florida with a banged-up Tim Tebow.)

As for the Gators:  "This is still a defense that was embarrassed by Georgia and Michigan."

Now, there are two schools over in the SEC West that Dooley feels are being overlooked...

LSU:  "So there are questions at quarterback for Les Miles and his team.  But look at it this way -- was LSU's quarterback play great last season when it won the national title?"

Mississippi State:  "Hey, we don't know how Sly Croom won eight games last year either.  But he did and that should count for something, expecially with nine starters back on a pretty strong defense."
