Here are some clips from yesterday’s edition of The Sports Source.

First segment — An in-depth discussion of the BJ Coleman departure.

Second segment — Is Lane Kiffin sacrificing the 2009 season by driving away so many players?

Third segment — UT has now had nine departures from the football team.  Is there anything unusual about that kind of turnover?

Fourth segment — The talent drop-off at Tennessee is undeniable when you look at the numbers.

(Pay no attention to the titles of the clips… “pt. 6″ for example, simply refers to the fact that it was the 6th segment of the show on Sunday.  We aren’t showing all of the clips from the show on the web today.)

Tennessee fans, here’s are some clips from this past Sunday’s television show, The Sports Source, from Knoxville.

In segment one, the panel (which includes former Vol coach Don DeVoe and former Vol player Dane Bradshaw) debate whether or not the Vols are peaking at the right time.

In segment two, the panel handicaps the SEC East race and discusses which SEC team might be the most dangerous come tournament time.

In segment three, DeVoe discusses how Tennessee’s All-Century Team was voted on, the panel discusses the 20-man team (including who should have made the team) and Bradshaw explains what the honor meant to him (including a great reference to “Happy Gilmore.”)

In segment four, our football analysts chat about Lane Kiffin’s shaky week, including a discussion of whether or not Kiffin is being treated unfairly by the SEC’s press.

Finally, in segment five, the group discuss what’s being said about the job Kiffin is doing with his players.

With the quick turnaround from Sunday show to Tuesday or Wednesday game, we haven’t been uploading many clips from The Sports Source in the past couple of months.

But with Lane Kiffin’s juicy comments this week, we thought we’d go ahead and post some clips from this past week’s show.

In this segment, Knoxville media members are joined by former Vol coach Don DeVoe to discuss Tennessee’s loss to Auburn.

In this segment, DeVoe and crew look at Tennessee’s remaining schedule and chat about whether or not the Vols are heading toward the NCAA Tournament at 14-8… or the NIT.

In this segment of the show, the panel discusses Lane Kiffin’s comments regarding Florida and Alabama.

And finally, in this last clip, the panel asks the question: “Is Lane Kiffin too cocky too soon?”  It would help if the graphic at the bottom of the screen were correct, but what the hey?

Here’s the latest edition of The Sports Source… complete with all seven segments from Sunday’s show.

Knoxville media members Bob Hodge, Mike Strange and Chuck Cavalaris join myself and Jimmy Hyams on the panel.

Former Vol Dane Bradshaw also joins us to break down Vol hoops.

Segment One – Grading the Vols in their wins over Marquette and Belmont

Segment Two – How can Tennessee keep Wayne Chism motivated?

Segment Three – In what areas does Tennessee need to improve?

Segment Four – How does Monte Kiffin’s “Tampa Two” work?  We tell you.

Segment Five – Does UT have the players to make “The Tampa Two” work in Knoxville next season?

Segment Six – Lane Kiffin talks recruiting; We talk Lane Kiffin

Segment Seven – Will Kiffin’s “attitude” fly in Knoxville?

No one seems to agree with me (that’s fine, I’ve docked their pay), but my biggest concern for the Kiffin tenure is whether or not his team will buy in to him as a leader and as a disciplinarian.

Here’s the discussion.

Here’s part two of our Kiffin chat.

On Sunday, Knoxville was still operating under the “it’s gonna happen, but it’s not official” premise regarding Lane Kiffin to Tennessee.

We spent three segments talking about Kiffin in our show and here’s part one.

Keep in mind, this was being discussed BEFORE Monday’s press conference.

In this segment from last Sunday’s show, the panel hands out grades for Tennessee’s performance against Kentucky… and they discuss the classy departure of Phillip Fulmer.

We ask former Vol and NFL quarterback Bobby Scott who he thinks looks to be UT’s best option at quarterback for 2009: BJ Coleman, Jonathan Crompton or Nick Stephens.

We didn’t give him a “none of the above” option.

So how did our panelists respond when asked to gauge who the next Vol coach would be?

Well, no one said Lane Kiffin.  Most of us believed Kiffin to be a product of the Jimmy Sexton spin machine.  Oh, well.

Better late than never, right?  No, probably not.

But here’s the first segment of our Sunday television show, “The Sports Source,” in which our panel hands out grades for UT’s performance in a 20-10 win over Vanderbilt.

More True/False questions in this segment and here they are:

1)  Lane Kiffin is a good candidate and should be seriously considered for the UT job.

2)  Brian Kelly could be Tennessee’s version of Les Miles.

3)  Mike Hamilton can’t take on the added risk of Mike Leach’s oddball personality.

4)  Hamilton should pay Butch Davis whatever he asks for.

Also, each panelist reveals who he would hire for the UT job if he were in the athletic director’s office.

In this segment of Sunday show, the panel takes on four True/False questions regarding Tennessee’s head coaching search:

1)  UT isn’t far along in their search, so fans shouldn’t pay too much attention to crazy rumors.

2)  Mike Hamilton should try hard to “win” the press conference.

3)  Hamilton should look for a coach with an exciting offense.

4)  If Hamilton’s new hire struggles, the coach and the AD could be looking at a four-year run at UT.

Here’s the first segment of phone calls from Sunday’s show.

Was it a lack of effort or focus that cost the Vols against Wyoming?

Former Vol Bobby Scott (and the rest of the panel) share their feelings in this clip.

The panel talks about the dismissal of Phillip Fulmer, how it was handled and where the Vols need to go next.

Slow getting this week’s clips up and I apologize.  Consider it a Wyoming hangover.

Here’s the panel’s take on the Vols’ performance… complete with VERY low grades.

Finally, here’s the last segment of phone calls from Sunday’s show.  Again, all of these segments were taped before the news on Phillip Fulmer.

And here’s our first segment of viewer phone calls.

Bobby Scott and Fred White discuss the team’s performance against South Carolina.

Sunday, we asked if an announcement might be coming later that day regarding Phillip Fulmer’s status.

Well, it was in the works on Sunday afternoon and evening, but it didn’t come until Monday.

In this segment we also discussed the pluses and minuses of making an early decision/announcement in this segment of The Sports Source.

All of the clips from Sunday’s television show are now a bit outdated thanks to the news of Phillip Fulmer’s departure, but we’ll post the clips anyway.

Here are the grades for the Vols versus the Gamecocks.
