Maybe this should be titled, "They Wrote It," rather than "They Said It."

In a perfectly-timed move that will maximize exposure -- and tick off Nick Saban -- a snippet from an upcoming book by Paul Finebaum and's Gene Wojchiechowski claims that Texas boosters were willing to pay Alabama's coach an incredible amount of money to move from Tuscaloosa to Austin last offseason.

"Texas was dead serious about trying to money-whip Saban. Depending on whom you talk to -- Bama big hitters or Texas big hitters -- the Longhorns were prepared to give Saban somewhere between a $12 and $15 million signing bonus and a salary package worth $100 million (plus performances)."

Saban is scheduled to speak at SEC Media Days today.  Think this will claim will come up?
