8. LSU “really needed” its win over Vanderbilt on Saturday. Forward Jordan Mickey: “We did a good job staying together, trusting each other.”

9. It will be a big week for Mississippi State, which will host Auburn before traveling to Ole Miss.

Congratulations are in order to Tony Brown for making new friends at his new school. Finding an older mentor such as Chavis Taylor will no doubt help Mr. Brown adapt to the college experience. I expect to see great things out of Mr. Brown in the future.
