1. Alabama is No. 1 in the BCS standings. There’s plenty of debate over which team should be No. 2.

2. Nick Saban on AJ McCarron: “There’s nobody that I’ve ever had the opportunity to coach that’s more into the game, a better competitor.”

3. Auburn’s low number of passing attempts is a good sign the offense is running the ball well.

4. Another improvement for Auburn: discipline. The Tigers had only one penalty against Tennessee.

6. LSU is left to fight for self-respect after its loss at Alabama on Saturday.
