Ole Miss has lost its leading pass rusher from last season for the rest of this season. Coach Hugh Freeze says defensive end C.J. Johnson will undergo surgery that will cause him to miss the rest of the 2013 schedule.
Johnson hasn’t played the last two games because of a leg injury. He finishes the season with 12 tackles and two quarterback hurries. He led Ole Miss with 6.5 sacks a year ago but he broke his leg in spring practice and has seemingly been battling to recover ever since. He will pursue a medical redshirt .
Ole Miss hosts LSU Saturday night. We’ll have our game previews posted later today.
