UCLA true freshman offensive lineman Christian Morris appears to be heading to the SEC. The Memphis native told Bruin Sports Report — the Rivals.com site that covers UCLA — that a “homesick and unhappy feeling” will likely lead him to Ole Miss.
“I’ve been talking to the compliance (department) of Ole Miss; that’s probably where I’m going to go. They were very close to home so I can get to my grandmother and family more.”
Morris has nothing but praise for UCLA and the coaching staff at Westwood. But his grandmother’s ill health is the lineman’s top priority right now. “I almost gave here a stroke when I told here when all this started happening,” he said. “That took a huge toll on me. I hate that I made the decision (to transfer) so late in the game.”
Morris signed with Jim Mora’s program in February as a four-star tackle. He was the third best prospect in the state of Tennessee last year, according to Rivals. Morris chose UCLA over Ole Miss, Tennessee, Nebraska, Washington and others last winter.
