@MrSEC What TV network is carrying the Toledo game?
Tennessee’s 2013-14 basketball schedule was released this week and the SEC office has done the Volunteers few favors. The Vols will have face Kentucky, LSU, and Alabama on the road. Ditto Florida and Missouri, but at least those squads will be making return trips to Knoxville.
But you know who hasn’t cried, whined or complained about his team catching all of the league’s NCAA tourney hopefuls? Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin:
“I’ve never been the guy to say, ‘Why does the league have us playing this many teams or this caliber team on the road? These are the teams in our league and we’re playing them…
I’d love to play (Kentucky) twice, but this is the schedule that the league presented.”
After listening to an offseason of Les Miles’ “I’m not complaining, but this schedule’s not fair” double-talk, it’s good to know there are some coaches in the SEC who understand that it’s impossible to create a schedule that is fair to everyone every year.
