LSU starting guard Josh Williford suffered a concussion at practice Thursday. According to a report at NOLA.com, the injury could be career-threatening to Williford, who missed the Tigers final seven games of 2012 with a concussion.
Williford, the only senior starter on LSU’s offensive line, was unconscious for about five minutes in Thursday’s practice. His concussion last season came in the Florida game.
Meanwhile, LSU freshman wide receiver Avery Peterson is likely out for the season after breaking his ankle.
“I don’t think he’ll be back this season; (at best) until the back end of the regular season,” said coach Les Miles after practice.
Peterson is the younger brother of former LSU All American cornerback Patrick Peterson.
