Hand Injuries Taking Their Toll On Georgia’s Linebacking Corps

red-cross-logoIn Athens, it’s suddenly all hands on deck at the outside linebacker position.  That’s because three Bulldog ‘backers have been forced from the practice field by hand injuries this week.

Leonard Floyd, a freshman who could start for the Georgia in their opener at Clemson, became the latest Dawg to undergo surgery for a hand injury after fracturing his left hand during practice on Monday.

A day prior, two other outside linebackers broke thumbs during practice — James DeLoach and Davin Bellamy.

According to The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, Mark Richt expects all three linebackers to be back at practice next week.
