Florida linebacker Antonio Morrison has had his second brush with the law since the middle of June. He spent early Sunday morning in jail after being charged with interfering with police by harassing a police animal. At a Gainesville bar with police present, Morrison began barking at a police dog, which got him arrested. He’s since been processed for release.
In June, Morrison was given a six-month deferral for an assault charge at a nightclub. He allegedly punched a bouncer because he was not given a discounted rate to the club.
At SEC Media Days last week, coach Will Muschamp said he had yet to decide if a suspension was warranted. ”I haven’t made any decision as far as playing time. To me it’s not about playing time. It’s about educating the young man.” With this latest incident, Muschamp now has another teaching opportunity.
