I thought FOX was just converting Speed into the new FS1?  I figured Speed already had pretty universal coverage or do they have to go back to the drawing board with a change of format?

@AllTideUp

FOX will be asking DirecTV, Dish and Time Warner to pay more for an all-sports network than they did for a niche network like SPEED.  Those cable/satellite providers don't want to pay more money.

Thus the protracted negotiations.
