1. Alabama’s offense scored 542 points in 2012.  That’s more points than any of Nick Saban’s first 16 teams.

2. Arkansas coach Bret Bielema doesn’t want to use the “R” word.  “I was emphatic, especially when I knew I had 20 seniors in that room to begin with in December, that I didn’t want it to be a rebuilding.”

3. Arkansas A.D. Jeff Long on how he recruited Bielema: “I would ask, ‘Who are the coaches in your conference I should be looking at?… Nobody could leave that conversation and think, He’s targeting Bret Bielema.”
