Kentucky junior safety Ashely Lowery is reportedly in critical but stable condition following an early Saturday morning wreck that threw him about 100 feet from the car.
It happened near Lowery’s hometown of Cleveland, Georgia. He was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima that left the road, flipped several times and ejected him. He was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to a hospital by an ambulance after medical helicopters were unable to fly due to the weather.
Kentucky coach Mark Stoops sent out this tweet late last night.
#BBN. Please pray for a speedy recovery for Ashley Lowery who was injured in a car crash. Ashley we love you and the team is praying for you

Lowery was fifth on the team in tackles last season with 43. He started eight games for Kentucky in 2012.
