Thought Of The Day – 3/11/13

Good Monday.

Plenty of SEC news and bracket projection stuff on the way today.

(Sidenote — We’re barely into the week and I’m already cursing the crash-inducing mixture of Google Chrome/Shockwave.  That doesn’t bode well for this week or for my mood.)

Back to business… the iPod is filled with the work of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers and I’m pretty sure this is their third appearance in our thought/lyric of the day slot.  That’s more than any other artist so far (for those of you keeping score at home).  Technically speaking, this lyric comes from a song called “Nada” which was from Roger Clyne’s first group, The Refreshments.  But if you’re lucky you can still catch RCPM performing this one live in concert somewhere out there today.  Great, great band.

“I been away from the living, I don’t need to be forgiven.  I’m just waiting for that cold, black, sun-cracked, numb-inside soul of mine… to come alive.”
