SEC Tournament Hoops: Florida & Vanderbilt Dominate, Alabama Advances, Ole Miss Rallies

1. Behind a career-high 27 points from Erik Murphy, Florida dominates.  Outrebounds Tigers 47-27. Gators Coach Billy Donovan: “It’s very difficult to get rebounds when you don’t jump. Our frontcourt guys, Erik in particular, really, really went after rebounds today.”

2. At 19-12, is LSU good enough for the NIT? Coach Johnny Jones: “It’s something we hope for and something we’ll be looking at. We’ll be excited about the opportunity should it present itself.”

3. Vols look fatigued while Alabama looked fresh? Crimson Tide guard Trevor Lacey: “It was a quick turnaround for them, and I think it kind of bothered them that they played last night.”

5. Surging Commodores playing well, have won eight of their 11.  Victory over Kentucky 400th career win for coach Kevin Stallings. “It has been a long time since I’ve been as proud of a team as I am of this team here.”

6. Like Tennessee, Kentucky left to sit, wait and wonder.  Guard Ryan Harrow shot 2-15 from the field on Friday. “It’s on me. It’s all my fault.”

Ole Miss 64, Missouri 62. Video Highlights

7. Freshman reserve Derrick Millinghaus hits a shot with 1.1 seconds left to cap Rebels comeback.  Marshall Henderson scored 20 of his game-high 27 points in second half.

8. Missouri had 14-point second half lead.  In last 8 1/2 minutes, went 2-for-12 from the field, 1-for-3 from the line.  Coach Frank Haith: “They were way more aggressive at driving the ball during the stretch than we were.”

Tide gets a little revenge for that no call at the end of last Vols game.  Bama out-played Vols 3 times this year.
