Hogs DE Flynn Arrested For DWI

mrsec-breaking-newsIn the SEC, there are three seasons when it comes to football.  There’s football season.  There’s recruiting season.  And there’s court season.  With five SEC players arrested in a 48-hour period, it’s officially court season.

Arkansas defensive end Austin Flynn was picked up this morning by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department for driving while intoxicated, careless driving, and no proof of insurance.

Flynn signed with the Razorbacks last year out of Los Angeles Harbor College in California.  He played in all 12 games for Arkansas recording a total of 10 tackles on the season.

Update: Flynn’s blood alcohol content was .14.  The legal limit in Arkansas is .08. He is the ninth Arkansas player arrested since last March.

I'm sick of seeing my Hogs picked up by the boys in blue.  I really hope Bielema does something to curb the arrests.

There is a big difference. What Flynn did was STUPID. What the bama soon to be EX players did was CRIMINAL.

 @viciousdawg

 When did driving while intoxicated cease to be criminal?  that's be careful here - this is a serious offense.  He endangered himslef and everyone around him driving impaired.

It was stupid and irresponsible, luckily, it didn't turn out to be criminal. It very well could have been criminal if he ran into some poor soul and killed them or seriously injured them. He was almost 2x the legal limit.

No comparison between the Alabama arrests and the Arkansas arrest was made.  Alabama's players actions were violent, this was -- as you said -- an act of stupidity.  Dangerous and serious, yes, but Flynn did not beat two people into unconsciousness.
