Add Ware, Wing To LSU’s Departure List

Running back Spencer Ware and punter Brad Wing are the latest LSU football players to declare for the NFL draft.

The school announced that Ware and Wing, along with cornerback Tharold Simon, will leave LSU early. Linebacker Kevin Minter and safety Eric Reid have also declared for the draft.

Ware, who finished fourth in rushing for LSU in 2012, leaves behind a crowded backfield that includes Jeremy Hill, Kenny Hilliard and Michael Ford.

Wing is bypassing his final two years of eligibility. His LSU career ended with a suspension from the Chick-fil-A Bowl after he reportedly failed a drug test.

@TruancyBot happens every year. all are either good decisions (good chance at 1st round--mingo, montgomery, reid, minter) or replaceable (ware, simon, wing). faulk and logan would be the tougher ones if they leave.
