Johnathan Ford’s commitment to Vanderbilt hasn’t kept other schools from calling.
The running back from New Hope (Ala.) High School has heard from Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee in recent weeks. All three schools are trying to convince Ford to visit.
“I’m still talking things over with my parents and stuff,” Ford told 247Sports. “I’m still seeing where I want to go, I mean it’s the next four years of my life. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”
Ford has been one of Vanderbilt’s most vocal commits in the 2013 class, promising to recruit other prospects on behalf of the Commodores.
Ford’s relationship with Vanderbilt coach James Franklin is one reason Ford hasn’t decided if he will visit other schools.
“It’s a great relationship,” Ford said. “He still has that same energy since the first day he recruited me. We just have that father figure type of relationship. He’s been staying on me with that energy he brings day by day.”
