Florida received a commitment from former Clemson wide receiver pledge Demarcus Robinson on Wednesday.
“I have a chance to play as a freshman and I want to play in the SEC, so I’m a Gator now,” Robinson told The Gainesville Sun.
Robinson, who attends Peach County High School in Fort Valley, Ga., had been committed to Clemson since July. But things changed when he received a visit Tuesday from Florida coach Will Muschamp, running backs coach Brian White and newly-hired wide receivers coach Joker Phillips.
“They’ve recruited me harder than anyone else,” Robinson said of Florida. “I was impressed with the season they had and I can tell they really need me next year.”
Robinson is Florida’s 25th commitments for the class of 2013.
