Steve Spurrier wants some help on Saturday. Yesterday he called on South Carolina fans to show up and be loud against an underachieving Arkansas team:
“We need you Saturday. We need you. We need to treat Arkansas as if its Georgia, Tennessee, Clemson, whoever. This team has beaten us more than all them teams have beaten us in the last three years combined. So we need to get after Arkansas. We need the fans screaming and yelling. This is a huge game for us.”
Anyone else notice the not-to-subtle jabs at rivals Georgia, Tennessee and Clemson? Spurrier’s a master in the art of japery.
Well, you can't argue against the truth. Spurrier may be saddled with an extreme case of arrested development but the only real way to shut him up is to beat him. Honestly though, it's so frequent and over the top, does Spurrier really get under anybody's skin anymore?
