Clemson is looking to replace Loganville, Ga., defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, who recently decommitted from the Tigers.
Lawson has been preparing himself for the possible departure of Auburn coach Gene Chizik, who likely will coach his final game for the Tigers against Alabama on Saturday. Several schools have reached out to Lawson in case he decides to look around.
“A lot of different people,” Lawson recently told Rivals.com. “(Southern California), UCLA, Tennessee, Clemson, Washington, Ole Miss and (Florida State).”
