The recruitment of wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones from Sealy (Texas) High School is focused on two schools.
“Right now, it’s between Texas A&M and LSU, those two schools,” Seals-Jones told ESPN RecruitingNation. “Probably soon I’ll have a commitment and sit down and talk with my parents. But really those are the two schools that I’m looking at the most.”
Seals-Jones, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 1 receiver by ESPNU, said he watched LSU beat Idaho and Texas A&M’s win against Southern Methodist on Saturday.
“After watching both games on Saturday, they’re both great schools,” said Seals-Jones, a one-time Texas commitment. “Both have academics that are great and they share the ball. So you’ve got to look at those things and I feel like I can go to each one of those two schools and do great. I”ve just got to choose which one I want to be at, sit down and talk to my parents about it and go from there.”
Seals-Jones said it “could be a month, maybe two” before he makes a final decision. He’s currently rehabbing a dislocated knee he injured on Sept. 6.
Texas exited the picture with Seals-Jones earlier this week. He was informed by Sealy coach Jimmie Mitchell last week the Longhorns would no longer recruit him.
“I don’t know what happened,” Seals-Jones said, “but you just have to move on from things like that. “I wish the best for them, but I have to do what’s best for me.”
