South Carolina leads a three-team race for the services of offensive lineman Na’Ty Rodgers from Pomfret (Md.) McDonough High School.
“Really, I would say Maryland, South Carolina and then Arkansas,” Rodgers told GamecockCentral.com. “South Carolina is number one right now.”
The Gamecocks have held the lead since Rodgers visited Columbia in April.
“I mean, everything is adding up,” he said. “They really just need one more recruiting class to just put them over the top and I want to be part of that. I talked to them this week. Really, we were just talking. It wasn’t anything too serious. We didn’t talk about football that much.”
Rodgers still has plenty to consider before he makes a final decision. He told GamecockCentral he plans to visit Arkansas and Oklahoma, along with return trips to South Carolina, before he makes his decision.
